6 Months Old and Sick

We're 6 Months Old!!! Emma weights 13 lbs and 7 oz. What a little big girl huh!
Dr Knight says she's doing GREAT!

Emma is Sick - Right now she's sleeping and I'm trying to lower her 102 degree fever. Poor Baby Emma! Grandma Debi visited last weekend and on Friday/Saturday Emma had a runny nose. Sunday I woke up with a runny nose and sore throat. Monday Debi (who was back home), Zach and I were all SICK. We ALL ended up staying home which has Never happened before - I'm not sure Zach has Ever used a Sick Day! But by Wednesday we were all Much better. Emma actually never acted that sick - but then Yesterday (Thursday) I noticed her nose was still stuffy and when I got to daycare she had a 100 degree temperature. By the time I got her home and got her some Tylenol it was a 101. Last night we rocked and were pretty fussy but the Tylenol brought the temp down. This morning when I woke Emma at 7 she had a low temp that started to go up before I left. We gave her more meds - and it kept it down again. Then I got a call from Daycare at 2:30 saying at 2:15 her temp was 101 degrees and they had given her Tylenol. We had initially though it was her two top teeth that just barely started to appear yesterday - but as her temp rises today I'm sure that's not it. So now we're at home - Tylenol is no longer lowering the fever - but we're sleeping! Hopefully it will go down this evening or it's going to be a long night for everyone!
On a happier note - we had a great weekend with Grandma Debi - Here's some Pics from the weekend!

Lots Going On

Lately we've had a LOT going on! Zach's been super busy at the ballpark and on Monday he left for Oklahoma City to help out at the Dave Matthew's band Concert there. Emma and I are really missing him since we haven't had his full attention since before August 4th! He comes home on Thursday night and then Grandma Debi gets here on Friday for the weekend. After she leaves, baseball starts right back up again so we won't have Daddy home until the very end of August:-(

Emma's been to a few Bats games lately - here's a pic of her with
Louisville Grandma Barb at the Game!

Emma is fast learning new things - her favorite thing right now is playing ball! She loves playing with this new toy that stacks, goes together into balls and is all sorts of colors. It also has numbers on it so it's my favorite toy right now - So much to learn!!!

Here's more pics of Emma! She's just too cute! On Thursday Emma turns 6 Months old and we go for her check-up at Dr Joe's! More to come then!!!

We're Getting Big!

Emma has grown so much over the last few weeks! It seems like every day she's doing something new. She's sitting great on her own now - although I still keep a pillow behind her so she doesn't hit her head. She LOVES Friday! She watches her constantly and always tries to pet her as she walks by. I'm not sure if Friday is ready for a mobile Emma - but get ready because it's coming soon! So far, Friday is being very patient and allows her to pet her and grab her ears. She is also the 1st one to tell us if Emma has dirty pants!

We're in the middle of an 8 day homestand right now so we're missing Daddy again! Today we found out that on the last day of the homestand Zach has to go to Oklahoma City to help out with the Dave Matthews Band Concert there on Wednesday. He won't be back home until Thursday. And then Grandma Debi is back for a quick weekend before Zach begins another 8 game homestand again. It's been a Busy Month!!!

Emma spent 2 days last week with Lauren and Kyle. They babysat for her Wednesday and Thursday all day and then again on Friday night while I went to the Dave Matthews Band Concert - He and Willie Nelson we AMAZING!!!! I had a much needed adult night out. So the fact that I was at the concert alone was no big deal - I had a Great time! (It was at Slugger field so Zach was working - I did get to see him and other friends who were working!)

Last Friday, Emma went with me to get my hair cut. She was SOOO cute! She sat on my lap with her own cape on and watched and looked in the mirror the whole time. If I remember - I'll scan in the pictures when I get them. (another customer took some pics because she was so cute!)

That's for all now - I'll try to be better with posting!
