Emma is 5!

I can't believe our little girl is 5!

Emma's birthday is on Valentine's Day so there's a lot to celebrate!  This year we had her friends from school out to McDonald's the night before her birthday.  Grandma Nesie and Papa Knute got there just in time for the party too!  Then the next few days we all hung out, went to a UofL basketball game, ate cake and ice cream cake and just had a good time!

This little guy was pretty excited when grandma and papa got to the party!  They were excited to be out of the car and at the party too - until all the girls showed up!  I think we had 17 kids all together - most of them girls...it was a little loud!!!

Zach and I have the best friends!  Thanks for coming guys!  Love the hats!

To Black...

He turned in the keys for "Pearl", gave her one last hug and drove home in a new black Maxima named Mamba! (How he picks his car's name I have no idea - but Mamba has stuck so far!)  It wasn't the car he had in mind when he headed to the lot - but it's the one that caught his eye and he has Loved his Maxima...so hopefully Mamba will treat him as good as Pearl did!

Christmas 2012

We had a Great Christmas this year and even got to go back to Iowa and KC for the first time in years.

Here's just a few pics from our holidays!



On the Friday before Christmas, we headed towards home and made our first stop in Warrensburg, MO at our annual "Not So Silent Night" party.  We were so excited to see all our friends!  We miss you guys!!!

Next we had Christmas in KC with Zach's mom on Saturday night...

And then to Zach's Dad and Donna's on Sunday...

And then to Iowa for my side of the fam...

And then back to Louisville after Christmas to find out that Santa visited us there too!!!

We had a great Christmas and are very blessed to have wonderful family and friends to share it with.  We're looking forward to 2013 being another great year with many big things to come for this family! 



It's Fall!

A few weeks ago, our friend Kelly came to visit.  While she was here, went to visit some of her friends who own The Little Kentucky River Winery in Trimble County, KY - the weather was perfect! Here's just a few shots of our day!

A little more Halloween...

I've been MIA since before Halloween - I can't really give you a reason - just been busy!  So here's the rest of Halloween!

I think this is his first time actually helping carve the pumpkins...he thought the insides were pretty gross!

This is the face he thought most looked like his pumpkin!

Let me explain this photo...Each year we have a pumpkin carving contest.  But as I mentioned...we've been Really busy!  So when we finally did get ready to carve pumpkins and mine was all moldy ad gross inside...there was no time to run out and get a new one.  (So that's how I really lost the pumpkin carving contest of 2013!)

First Skating Party

Sometime after Boo at the Zoo and before Halloween, Emma went to her first Skating Party!  She was a little nervous at first - but figured it out right away and had a great time!
